Kennedale Speedway Park sets 15th annual Showdown for Nov. 5, 6

KENNEDALE, Texas – The final checkered flags of the season fly Nov. 5 and 6 at Kennedale Speedway Park, where four IMCA divisions are on the 15th annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown card.

Qualifying for IMCA Modifieds, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars starts Friday, Nov. 5. The Modifieds and Southern SportMods both race for $1,500 top checks and the Stock Cars for $1,000 to win on Saturday, Nov. 6. 

The Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the 2022 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while the Stock Car winner becomes eligible to qualify for the 2022 B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $200 to win on Friday. 

Early entry for Modifieds and Southern SportMods is $60 and $50 for Stock Cars if paid by Nov. 3, with an additional $20 charged after that date. Non-qualifiers racing both days get $50 tow.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. both days. The grandstand opens at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. on Friday. Grandstand opens at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Transponders and RACEceivers are required, as are approved mufflers.

An open practice on Thursday night, Nov. 4 will be followed by the Stephenville Starter and Electric pit party.
