Kennedale Speedway Park sets 15th annual Showdown for Nov. 5, 6

KENNEDALE, Texas – The final checkered flags of the season fly Nov. 5 and 6 at Kennedale Speedway Park, where four IMCA divisions are on the 15th annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown card.

Qualifying for IMCA Modifieds, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars starts Friday, Nov. 5. The Modifieds and Southern SportMods both race for $1,500 top checks and the Stock Cars for $1,000 to win on Saturday, Nov. 6. 

The Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the 2022 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while the Stock Car winner becomes eligible to qualify for the 2022 B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $200 to win on Friday. 

Early entry for Modifieds and Southern SportMods is $60 and $50 for Stock Cars if paid by Nov. 3, with an additional $20 charged after that date. Non-qualifiers racing both days get $50 tow.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. both days. The grandstand opens at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. on Friday. Grandstand opens at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Transponders and RACEceivers are required, as are approved mufflers.

An open practice on Thursday night, Nov. 4 will be followed by the Stephenville Starter and Electric pit party.

Spring Kickoff starts season at Kennedale Speedway Park

KENNEDALE, Texas – Kennedale Speedway Park kicks off the new season in Texas this weekend, with the Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26 and 27 Spring Kickoff. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both race for $500 to win on Friday and $600 to win on Saturday, while Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods race for $500 to win to each night. Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $200 to win on Saturday. All feature fields will start 24 cars. Start money is $80 for Modifieds and Stock Cars, $70 for the Southern SportMods and $50 for the Sport Compacts. Draw fee in all divisions is $10. Gould brings broom to Kennedale for Spring Kick Off sweep

KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 24-25, 2023) – William Gould brought the broom to Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kick Off.  The defending GRT Race Cars South Central Region, Texas State and track champion started the weekend with Friday’s $1,000 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified checkers. Looking to complete the sweep on Saturday, he paced the field back to green following a late caution with familiar foes Jake Upchurch and Jacob Pirkle lined up right behind. “I had led every lap from the pole but that caution turned the race into a dash for cash, with two of the same fast guys I raced here with last season,” Gould said. “It was good to be able to hold on for the win.
