Champions featured in every RoC event

BOONE, Iowa – Champions in five divisions fill the starting grids for Race of Champion events at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The inaugural RoC for STARS Mod Lites is on the Sunday, Sept. 5 Prelude card and will start 10 cars running 10 laps.

The Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions for Modifieds, Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions for Stock Cars, BSB Manufacturing Race of Champions for Northern SportMods and Stephenville Starter Race of Champions for Hobby Stocks are all on the Saturday, Sept. 11 program.

Each of the Saturday events start 12 cars for 12 laps. 

Modifieds race for $1,000 to win with another $100 paid to the leader of each lap. Stock Cars race for $500 to win and $75 per lap led, Northern SportMods and Hobby Stocks both for $300 to win and $50 per lap to the leader.

Drivers eligible to qualify for their respective events include 2021 track champions or point leaders and former national, regional and Super Nationals champions and race of champions winners.

Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock RoC qualifying will be Tuesday, Sept. 7. Modified and Stock Car RoC qualifying is Thursday, Sept. 9. 

2020 race winners were Jesse Sobbing in the Modified RoC, Kelly Shryock in the Sunoco RoC, Johnathon Logue in the Northern SportMod RoC and Cody Nielsen in the Hobby Stock RoC.
