$8,000 in cash bonuses, lap money added to purse for Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Drivers competing at the 39th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s take home more than $8,000 in cash bonuses and lap money.

Local businesses and IMCA sponsors have anted up bonuses and lap money to be paid during the Sept. 6-11 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway, guaranteed to be the biggest and richest dirt track event of the season.     

Quick Performance gives $100 bonuses to the winners of three qualifying features for Hobby Stocks, three qualifying features for Northern SportMods and six Stock Car qualifying features.

Each of the six drivers winning Modified qualifying features receive $100 cash bonuses from VIP Medical Concierge and Dr. Robert Baker.

The final qualifiers for both Modified and Northern SportMod main events get $250 cash bonuses from Saint’s Avenue Café. Final qualifiers for Stock Car and Hobby Stock mains receive $100 from Methanol Moonshine.    

Elmquist Towing pays $25 to the leader of each of the 30 laps in Thursday’s B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational for Stock Cars and Friday’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional for Modifieds.

More money is at stake in each of the race of champions events on Saturday, Sept. 11.

One hundred dollars goes to the leader of each of the 12 laps in Saturday’s Harris Auto Racing Race of Champi­ons for Modifieds and $50 to the leader each of 12 laps in the BSB Northern SportMod Race of Champions courtesy of Intensi­tee, Cookie’s Sauce & Seasoning, Walmart, Baymont Inn & Suites, Joe Busch Ag Repair, Ames Ford Lin­coln, Hy-Vee, VisionBank of Boone, Dreamscape Homebuilders of Des Moines, Ramsey Subaru, Ramsey Mazda and eBay Motors.

Leading the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions for Stock Cars will pay $75 for each of 12 circuits, courtesy of Golden Empire Towing.

Big Daddy Race Cars gives $50 in cash to the driver scored first at the stripe in each of the 12 laps in the Stephenville Starter Hobby Stock Race of Champions.

Karl Kustoms bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 go to the top three Modified, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock finishers with crate engines.

And Yoshimura bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 go to the top three finishing IMCA STARS Mod Lites.

Final week for 2020 IMCA Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying

VINTON, Iowa – The race for IMCA Modified drivers to get their names on the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot heads into the final week.  Winners of sanctioned events held through Aug. 6 that pay $1,000 or more to win become vote eligible. Super Tuesday voting will be Aug. 11 to elect 28 of the 30 drivers who will start the All-Star Invitational on Friday, Sept. 11 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Super Tuesday voting will be conducted through the IMCA Facebook page, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST. Notable firsts, previous race winners among 28 drivers elected to Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA Modified drivers from a dozen states, representing notable first-time competitors as well as previous race winners, have been elected to start the 17th annual Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Kelsie Foley of Tucson, Ariz., becomes the first female driver elected to the All-Star race. Other first-time All-Stars who will take the green flag in the Friday, Sept. 11 spectacular, during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway, are David Goode Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, Jake O’Neil, also of Tucson, and Brandon Smith of Bath, N.Y.  They’ll be joined on the starting grid by defending race winner Joel Rust of Grundy Center, 2018 winner Hunter Marriott of Brookfield, Mo., 2013 winner Todd Shute of Norwalk, 2011 winner Chris Abelson of Sioux City and 2005 and 2008 winner Jay Noteboom of Hinton. Sunday bag toss tourney new at Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Pride, bragging rights and shares of a $900-plus payout will be on the line in the Sunday, Sept. 1 bag toss tourney at Boone Speedway.  Entry fee for each of a maximum of 32 teams is $30, with the top four teams earning cash back at the conclusion of the inaugural, single elimination tourney. Entry forms will be posted online.  All money received as entry fees will be paid back and all teams must be comprised of two people, each with a direct tie to the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. “That means drivers, crew members, sponsors or campers,” explained Boone Speedway’s Coty Mallicoat. “No ringers.”  IMCA, Boone Speedway and MyRacePass will also give prizes to bag toss (aka cornhole) tourney competitors.  The tourney will start at approximately noon Sunday at a location near the east catwalk in the pit area during the Arnold Motor Supply Sunday Funday.
