Densberger scores Eagle IMCA Modified win

EAGLE, Neb. (July 24) – Although the heat index cleared 100 Saturday night, a good-sized crowd showed up to brave the temperatures at Eagle Raceway as Modern Real Estate and Empire Fencing and Netting presented Fan With A Can night. Double features were run since the previous week’s were interrupted by rain.

A restart with two laps left opened the door for Mike Densberger in the scheduled IMCA Modified main event.

“It’s been too long coming. The final race of 2019 was my last win out here,” said Densberger, the winner ahead of Bob Zoubek and Chad Andersen. “We had a lot of seconds and thirds, top fours but we just couldn’t seem to pick up the win until tonight.”

“I think I got to fourth with about 10 laps to go and then got up to second with six to go. I knew that I had a pretty good car and it was going to be a great race with Shane (Hiatt),” he continued. “We were running two different lines so it would be a good clean race. I don’t know if he spun out or broke something or what happened. It was an awesome race. We had a lot of cautions, and that gets on your nerves a little bit.” 

Trevor Grossenbacher was the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car winner and Shawn Harker reigned in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Shane Stutzman topped the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature while Roy Armstrong paced the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.

Winners of the make-up features were Andersen in the Modifieds, Jay Russell in the Sprint Cars, Cade Richards in the Stock Cars, Ryan Gilland in the Hobby Stocks and Trevor Baker in the Northern SportMods.

Richards rules IMCA Stock Car feature at Eagle

Cade Richards won the first weekly IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Eagle. The victory by the two-division star followed up his first-ever victory at Eagle which came in a Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod and came ahead of Kyle Vanover and Jordan Grabouski.  “We’ve got the car working really well on these high banked tracks. Danley races to RaceSaver Sprint checkers at Eagle

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 23) – Joey Danley became the first repeat IMCA Sprint RaceSaver Sprint Car winner of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night. Danley snagged the lead near midway and beat Trevor Grossenbacher to the checkers. “After two rough weeks we got it done again and that feels pretty good. The track was tacky and rough. Big fields pay off for IMCA drivers at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (May 5, 2023) – As it was announced in the pit meeting on April 22, effective immediately, Eagle Raceway will start adding a minimum of $1,000 bonus spread throughout the field of a class of cars if there are 30 or more cars that show up and race at any single event in that class (includes non-qualifiers). This will be in effect from April 22, 2023 to May 27, 2023. If this works out, the track will continue to offer this bonus for the rest of 2023.  “As most of you already know, we already offer a reward when ‘A’ features run caution free by giving those drivers a free pit pass the following week.
