Danley races to RaceSaver Sprint checkers at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (June 23) – Joey Danley became the first repeat IMCA Sprint RaceSaver Sprint Car winner of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night.

Danley snagged the lead near midway and beat Trevor Grossenbacher to the checkers.

“After two rough weeks we got it done again and that feels pretty good. The track was tacky and rough. It was a ‘Cowboy Up’ track, and that’s what we like because it puts the race in the hands of the driver,” Dan­ley said. “We started eighth and ran up to the front quick, but a couple of cars got crossed up there and Trevor got by me. I thought we were going to have to settle for second, but we were able to track him down.”

Johnny’s Saathoff’s Runner Freight IMCA Modified victory was his first of the season at Eagle.

“I should have had the win last week but ended up five pounds light at the scales. My mother passed away last week and I wanted to get that win for her, so this week I had to get it done,” he said. “I was try­ing to do it for her and I felt that she helped me get the win. I’m just happy to be back in victory lane.”

Roy Armstrong won his second local Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature of the season; Trevor Noonan’s Hoosier Racing Tire IMCA Northern SportMod victory was his first in the division at Eagle.

Ramsey Meyer motored from 12th starting to win the ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compact finale.

This marked Meyer’s first Eagle Raceway win in 2018 and came from the 12th starting spot.

“It’s been a little while since we were down here. Our class wasn’t scheduled at our home tonight, so we got a little break from there and figured we’d come down here,” Meyer said following his first Eagle win of 2018. “This was probably the heaviest track that I’ve raced on down here, but that made it fun.”

One hundred and thirty-three teams vied Saturday at America’s Home Track.

Bryan sprints to Eagle checkers 

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (July 28) – Nick Bryan led every lap in winning Saturday’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature at Eagle Raceway. The victory came in just his second visit to the Nebraska speedplant this season. “Somebody showed their nose a few times, but at the same time I just kept watching the score­board, counting down the laps and trying to stay out front,” he said. Mike Densberger collected Runner Freight IMCA Modified feature win number three this year, racing from eighth starting to the lead with seven laps left. Shawn Harker won his sixth Hoosier Racing Tire IMCA Northern SportMod feature of the season while Roy Armstrong raced to his third local checkers of 2018 from the 11th starting spot in the Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock finale. His ATV Motorsports IMCA Sport Compact victory was Justin Callender’s second of the year. He took charge with four circuits to go.

Pfeifer is pfirst to IMCA SporMod checkers at Eagle

The St. Paul speedster took the lead on lap four and outran Trevor Noonan and Noah Williams to the Friesen performance IMCA Northern SportMod checkers. “This was my first win here at Eagle. Andrews sails from 10th to Eagle checkers

(June 25, 2022) – Matt Andrews went sailing Saturday night, from row five at the start to victory lane following Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event at Eagle Raceway. Andrews started 10th, snagged the lead with 12 to go and took the checkers ahead of Ryan Argobast and Dana Deeke.  “When you have to start in the back because of the points deal, it’s pretty tough to get to the front.
