Big paydays for IMCA winners Friday at US 36

OSBORN, Mo. – Big paydays are in Friday, June 18 race night plans at US 36 Raceway.

IMCA Modifieds run for $1,100 to win and a minimum of $125 to start their Modified Madness main event. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods chase a top check of $1,066 and $100 to start their Wayne Hicks Memorial show, and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start their Doyle Lance Remembrance Race. 

The Modified feature is a qualifier for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and the Stock Car winner becomes eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star race.

Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. at Osborn. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under.

The Friday show is presented by Miller Lite St. Joe Beverage.

Championship Night this Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, Sept. 25, is championship night at US 36 Raceway. US 36 will crown the season champion in IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. As part of championship night, the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will race for $1,200 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. This is also the final opportunity for drivers and teams to race before the fall special at US 36, the second annual Missouri Nationals on Oct. 8-10. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.

Grossenbacher returns to US 36 to take $1,000 checkers at Budweiser Shootout 

OSBORN, Mo. (June 8) – It’s been a few years since he’s been to Osborn but Trevor Grossen­bacher showed he still knows how to get to the front at US 36 Raceway. Grossenbacher caught up with Tyler Drueke in traffic and made what proved to be the winning pass with four laps to go in Friday’s Budweiser Shootout feature for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. “The last time I ran here was five years ago,” said Grossenbacher, who earned $1,000 for the feature victory and another $200 for winning his heat race. “It’s a 2-1/2 hour trip for us but I’m sure we’ll go back. Patience pays off for defending champ at US 36

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. (May 17) – Steven Clancy showed why he holds the top spot in Karl Kustoms North­ern SportMod point standings at US 36 Raceway Friday night. The defending track champion waited through the early laps before picking up the pace and work­ing his way through the field. Midway through the race he got to the back bumper of race leader Coleman Browning. He made the move for the lead and picked up win number three this year. Browning finished se­cond, while Chris Wright finished third. Matt Lent looked strong early but faded to fourth and Randy Smith Jr. rounded out the top five.  Mike Nichols also showed patience as he worked his way through the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field, then on the backside of halfway he moved around Mich Ross to take the lead.  While Nichols checked out to take the win, Ross and Connor Masoner battled for second.
