EAGLE, Neb. (May 1) – What Nate Weiler didn’t think would be possible became reality Saturday night at Eagle Raceway. 

Weiler made a huge move to the front on lap eight for his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car-first career feature win at America’s Home Track. 

“I’m speechless really. This is something that I never thought would be possible for me,” he said post-race. “I’ve spent many years as a pit crew member but I had never driven any kind of dirt track car in my life before the RaceSaver class came to Eagle. Racing with some of the best people in the sport and in this class, plus the fact that I just beat all of them tonight feels amazing!”

Shon Pointer regained the second spot with seven laps to go, Neil Nickolite was third and Trevor Grossen­bacher drove the number 35 car to fourth.

“Everybody keeps telling me I was pulling away but I don’t have a mirror in the car and I wasn’t going to try and look behind me,” Weiler said. “I was just going as fast as I could go and hoping that the tires would last.”

Jordan Grabouski won both IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features. Jeff Ware ruled the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Trevor Baker notched the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod victory.

EAGLE, Neb. Eagle Raceway primed for sixth annual IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car teams from across the country will head to Eagle Raceway for the Aug. 30-Sept. 2 RaceSaver Nationals. The sixth annual event concludes with a $2,500 to win, $1,250 to start main event. Entries are again expected to surpass the 100 mark for the biggest RaceSaver show of the season. “The growth of not only the RaceSaver division itself but the participation at RaceSaver Nationals is something to behold,” said Eagle Promoter Roger Hadan. “The car count continues to surpass any other Sprint Car race in the country and the number of fans who come to America’s Home Track every Labor Day Weekend grows annually as well.” Drivers can go to the www.eagleraceway.com website to pre-register and receive a free, reserved pit stall now, at a cost of $15. Haney, Williams win first features at Eagle

Armed Forces Night at Eagle Raceway saw a big crowd, a pit full of cars and the best racing so far this year. Drivers battled two- and sometimes three-wide on the high banks, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Dylan Haney snagged the lead on the last lap in winning his career-first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature ahead of Gary Laflin and Jeremy Down. “I ran third pretty much most of the race, finally got to second and had five or six laps to chase the leader down.
