Sherman County Speedway ends season with 31st Flatlander Classic

GOODLAND, Kan. – Sherman County Speedway wraps up the 2020 season with the 31st annual Flatlander Classic on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25 and 26. 

Both the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,500 to win, with the Modified winner earning a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot as well. 

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods chase $1,000 top checks while the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature pays $400 to win.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. 

Registration fees of $160 for Modifieds and Stock Cars, $140 for Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods and $100 for Sport Compacts include the weekend pit pass for the driver. 

Drivers in all divisions should register at myracepass.com. Pit passes are $30 for adults and $10 for kids ages 12 and under. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for kids and free for five and under. 

Gates open at 2 p.m. Mountain time, with hot lap at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. both days. More information about the Flatlander Classic is available from Mike Kennedy at 719 342-2429.
