SportMod Stampede at East Moline pays $2K to win

VINTON, Iowa – The payday gets even better this week for the IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature winners at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, and the Bullring at RICO Fairgrounds in East Moline, Ill. In a promotion postponed from last week, the IMCA Late Model winner on Saturday at Shelby County Speedway pockets an extra $250 courtesy of Sunoco Race Fuels. The same $250 Sunoco cash bonus goes to the top finisher following Sunday’s IMCA Late Model main event at the Bullring at RICO Fairgrounds. Sunoco bonuses are being presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned weekly tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for only one bonus during the 2020 racing season. EAST MOLINE, Ill – The Bullring at Rock Island County Fairgrounds remembers one of its own with the inaugural Greg Durbin Memorial on Sunday, Aug. 2.  The IMCA Modified feature pays $2,008 to win and is a qualifying event for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. The Modified portion of the show is draw/redraw with a $50 entry fee, with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing, Side Biter Chassis North Central and KMJ Performance Illinois State, but no track points to be awarded. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods vie for $888 to win and national, state and track points. EAST MOLINE, Ill. – A family that’s cheered, raced and worked at the Bullring at Rock Island County Fairgrounds will promote the quarter-mile clay speedplant beginning this season.  Korey Peterson, along with uncles Jeff and Todd, take charge at the East Moline track. Sunday shows under the Peterson Family Promotions banner will feature IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and, for the first time, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. “We love this track.
