United Rebel Sprint Series heads to Sherman County Speedway this Sunday

DODGE CITY, Kan.  – One of the highlights on the 2018 United Rebel Sprint Series takes place this coming Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 as the Rebels head to Dodge City Raceway Park for the second annual Lubbock Wrecker Service 305 Sprint Car Nationals.” The tour will be joined by the track’s Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars for two nights of fast-paced sprint car action. Friday night’s feature payout will be at least $500 for the winner and $125 to start the finale. All non-qualifiers earn $100. Saturday night’s feature finale winner will earn a cool $3,000 and could earn up to $4,500 with lap money in play as well. Starting the twenty-four-car championship fea­ture finale will take home $600 while all non-qualifiers earn $150.  By David Smith, Jr., OKTidbits PR HAYS, Kansas – The 15th consecutive season for the Lucas Oil POWRi United Rebel Sprint Se­ries presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing kicks off in just three-short weeks as the tour will head to RPM Speedway in Hays, Kan., for a weekend doubleheader. Set for Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, the annual Mike Hughes Sunflower Classic Memorial presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions will see both night shows paying $1,000 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, E3 Spark Plugs Kansas State and series points will be awarded. A huge car count is expected with drivers from Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado indicating their in­tentions on competing with their Kansas counterparts. Westhold Transponders and RACEceivers are required and the track is asking all teams compet­ing to pit in a group on the west side of the main pit area. There will be an open practice session for all cars Thursday, March 26 with pit gates opening at 2 p.m. and practice from 6-10 p.m.

STOCKTON, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series braces for a huge, three-race weekend with the annual Bob Salem Memorial highlighting all the race action. It all begins Friday, Aug. 17 at Stockton Speedway before embarking to Oberlin Speedway Satur­day and Sunday, Aug. 18-19. It will be a pivotal weekend for the series points standings as just five events remain in the 2018 race season. Friday night’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event atop the Stockton Fairgrounds will pay $700 to win. Gates open at 5 p.m. with race action slated for a 7:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday night for the annual running of the Bob Salem Memorial, the Saturday night’s portion of the event will pay $700 to win while Sunday night pays $1,000 to win. Grand­stand admission is $15 for adults, kids ages 7-12 are $8 and children six and under admitted into the grandstands for free.
