MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 26) – Two drivers earned first feature wins on a busy Friday night at  Marshalltown Speedway, Dalton Simonsen in the IMCA Sunoco Late Models and Kyle Everts in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. 

Kaden Reynolds doubled up in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.  Make-up features were also won by Darrel DeFrance, Late Model, Joel Rust in the IMCA Modifieds and Brian Schrage in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Other winners from the regular night’s racing went to Tom Berry Jr., Modified, Jeff Mueller in the Stock Cars and Kyle Olson in a thriller for the Northern SportMods. 

Simonsen got past early leader DeFrance on lap five and from there on pulled away to secure his first-ever win, which was accompanied by the $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus.  DeFrance fin­ished second, just holding off Logan Duffy in third.

Jason Hall led the make-up feature for the Stock Cars from the drop of the green and was poised for a win until he slipped up in turn one, allowing Everts to take over the number one spot.

The final laps saw Damon Murty make his usual hard charge through the field, coming from the 11th starting spot, but he would fall just short and finish second. Third went to Todd Reitzler.

Wins keep coming for Grabouski as World Nationals checkers pay $10,000

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Oct. 26) – Jordan Grabouski made a banner 2019 season even more memorable Saturday night, winning the IMCA Modified main event at Marshalltown Speedway’s 13th annual World Nationals.  The $10,000 paycheck came near the end of a campaign that saw the Beatrice, Neb., driver race to IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco national crowns. His 69 total feature wins during the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season also included the April Frostbuster at Marshalltown. Joel Rust, defending race winner Richie Gustin, Cayden Carter and Jeff Aikey completed the top five. Grabouski and Gustin had lined up on the front row for the start of the 50-lapper. Grabouski grabbed the immediate lead and was still in front when the race was red flagged at 20 laps down after Jeff Larson went over turn three. Third time is a charm for opening night at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 3, 2024) – After two prior weeks of rainouts at the Karl Auto Group Marshalltown Speedway, the third time was the charm, and the regular points season got underway for the UAW Local 893 Cliff Chambers Memorial. One hundred and fifty-eight cars were on hand for the evening’s program. Tripp Gaylord took the honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified division and it was Jeff Mueller taking the win in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Calvin Dhondt took the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature in a thrilling event. Matt Avila led flag to flag in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Jon Padilla dominated in the IMCA Stealth STARS Mod Lites. Ward adds 100th Modified career win to already impressive IMCA resume

HARCOURT, Iowa (July 19, 2024)  – When Grandma Cindee Broemmer updates the notes she keeps on Tim Ward’s racing results, she’ll have to highlight his July 19 finish at Marshalltown Speedway. Ward won for the 100th time in his Friesen Performance IMCA Modified career Friday night at Marshalltown, adding to an already impressive resume that already includes IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, Harris Clash, Clash at the Creek and Dakota Classic Tour titles. “This is big.
