$250 Sunoco bonus on tap for IMCA Late Model winner at Dubuque

VINTON, Iowa – The payday got even better for the winner of Sunday’s main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway. 

The third $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the June 7 Late Model winner at Dubuque. 

Sunoco bonuses will be presented at Late Model sanctioned tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the 2020 racing season. Previous winners were Jeff Aikey at Independence Motor Speedway on May 23 and Matt Ryan at 34 Raceway last Saturday night.

IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track. 

Grandstand seating is now open, and fans will also have the opportunity to watch the night’s racing action by logging on to IMCA.tvor affiliate DoneRight.tv. The live streaming service will carry a one-time charge and will not require a membership. 

Hot laps are scheduled to take to the track at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

$1,000 top check, All-Star berth for IMCA Modifieds at stake July 4 at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa – A $1,000 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event for IMCA Modifieds is now scheduled this Sunday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway.  IMCA Sunoco Late Models, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are also on the July 4 ticket and all divisions will be draw/redraw. The Fast-Shafts qualifying event for Modifieds was rained out and rescheduled from last Sunday. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $30 or $15 for kids ages 7-13 and free for six and under. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and up, $6 for student ages 13-17 and free for kids 12 and under accompanying a paid adult. Fair races on July 28 and Aug. 1 also pay the Modifieds $1,000 to win.

Season championships Sunday at Dubuque

By Jerry Mackey   DUBUQUE, Iowa – This Sunday, Aug. 26, Dubuque Hose & Hydraulics will present the 2018 season championship races at Dubuque Speedway.   Track championships will be decided in both the Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modified and GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod divisions.   Fans in attendance on Sunday night will have an opportunity to win tickets to the 41st annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. A drawing from the ticket stubs will be held prior to the features on and three lucky fans will win three-day Yankee tickets.   Farley Speedway will host the Yankee Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

Sunoco bonuses awarded at Independence, Dubuque this weekend

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 1, 2023) – Sunoco Race Fuels bonuses will be awarded when IMCA Late Models hit the track for big events this weekend at Independence Motor Speedway and at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway. The divisional title sponsor awards $250 bonuses to feature winners on Saturday, June 3 during the Hall of Fame Night show at Indee and Sunday, June 4 on Fan Appreciation Night at Dubuque. Drivers can get the bonus one time in a season; the $250 will be awarded to the top finishing non-winning driver any night the winner has previously received the bonus. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow Saturday at Independence, where pit passes are $30 for adults, $15 for kids ages 6-14 and free for five and under. Spectator admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students ages 13-17. Grandstand admission is free for Dubuque’s Fan Appreciation, with pit passes $30 for adults and $15 for kids ages 7-13.
