10 states now represented at US 36, Bethany IMCA openers

OSBORN, Mo. – Opening night events this weekend at US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway bring IMCA drivers from across the nation to the Show-Me State.

IMCA drivers from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana join competitors from closer to home on season-opening cards Friday, May 8 at Osborn and Saturday, May 9 at Bethany.

IMCA Modified, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod entries are also in hand from Colorado, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, as well as Missouri. 

“We’re expecting to get drivers from a couple more states, too. It seems like the number of entries goes up every time I look at my phone,” said promoter Jon Boller Jr., who noted the strong contingent of RaceSaver Sprint Cars making the trip from out east. 

“We had more than 100 cars practice last Saturday. Once we got to 100, we stopped counting,” continued Boller, looking forward to watching the stars of IMCA vie for the only IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, E3 Spark Plugs State and track points to be awarded in Missouri this weekend. “We’ll take as many cars as we can get in the pits using social distancing.”

As previously announced and emphasized by Boller, social distancing guidelines will be maintained in the pits and grandstand each night. Track officials will ask all race teams to stay within their respective pit area and that everyone attending wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering.

US 36 Raceway hosts Oct. 8, 9 IMCA Missouri Nationals

By Rick Staley  OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway presents the IMCA Missouri Nationals Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9, with a $50,000 combined payout. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars both race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start, with the Modified winner becoming eligible to qualify for the 2022 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $2,000 to win, a minimum of $100 to start and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods chase a top check of $1,500 with a minimum of $90 to start. The top 12 cars from Friday qualifying are locked into the Saturday show and there will also be a payout for that night. All payouts are based on a minimum of 24 cars per division. Entry fee in all four divisions is $35 if paid by Oct. 6 or $70 after that date. Four IMCA divisions race Saturday at Bethany Speedway

By Chet Querry BETHANY, Mo. – Bethany Speedway returns to action on June 6 with a full night of racing at the Northwest Missouri State Fairgrounds.  The Saturday program features IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.  Opening night of the 2020 season saw records broken with total of 128 cars and drivers traveling from as far away as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Arkansas and Arizona to race on the smooth, fast and always competitive Bethany oval.  There are a lot of local names bringing cars to race and more cars being built. Lap after lap of the best side-by-side racing action is at Bethany Speedway.

NW Missouri State Fair races feature three IMCA divisions

BETHANY, Mo. – Three IMCA divisions headline Northwest Missouri State Fair Races at Bethany Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 1.  IMCA Modifieds vie for $1,200 to win and a minimum of $150 to start their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Modified heat winners earn $50 each. The hard charger in the feature will receive $100. Twenty-five laps in the feature will each pay $10 to the leader.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $800 to win and a minimum of $80 to start, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $750 to win and a minimum of $70 to start. Heat winners in those divisions earn $25, with $50 paid to the hard chargers. Lap money is $5 with 20 laps scheduled for the Stocks and 18 for the SportMods.
