MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Oct. 26) – Jordan Grabouski made a banner 2019 season even more memorable Saturday night, winning the IMCA Modified main event at Marshalltown Speedway’s 13th annual World Nationals. 

The $10,000 paycheck came near the end of a campaign that saw the Beatrice, Neb., driver race to IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco national crowns. His 69 total feature wins during the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season also included the April Frostbuster at Marshalltown.

Joel Rust, defending race winner Richie Gustin, Cayden Carter and Jeff Aikey completed the top five.

Grabouski and Gustin had lined up on the front row for the start of the 50-lapper. Grabouski grabbed the immediate lead and was still in front when the race was red flagged at 20 laps down after Jeff Larson went over turn three.

The race resumed with Grabouski leading the field to green. Rust was running second when the next lap was scored and set his sights on overtaking the leader. 

It wasn’t to be on this night, however, as Grabouski held tight to his lead and flashed under the checkers first for the win. The 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying victory was already his third. 

Carter had started 13th while Benji LaCrosse drove from 18th starting to sixth. 

Grabouski had also won Friday’s opening night feature for the Stock Cars. Damon Murty took the $1,000 top prize in that division on night two. 

Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod winners were Dylan VanWyk on opening night and Cody Thomp­son on night two. Both victories were good for $1,000. 

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock national rookie of the year Kaden Reynolds swept the weekend’s $500 to win features.

IMCA Stock Car crown good for $5,000 at Marshalltown’s King of the High Banks 

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 8, 2024) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for a top prize of $5,000 at one of the richest specials event of the early season, Marshalltown Speedway’s April 11 and 12 King of the High Banks. The winner is guaranteed a starting spot in the upcoming B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational and taking the green flag in the main event is good for a minimum of $500. Simonsen, Everts race to first wins at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 26) – Two drivers earned first feature wins on a busy Friday night at  Marshalltown Speedway, Dalton Simonsen in the IMCA Sunoco Late Models and Kyle Everts in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.  Kaden Reynolds doubled up in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.  Make-up features were also won by Darrel DeFrance, Late Model, Joel Rust in the IMCA Modifieds and Brian Schrage in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Berry, Murty, Logue, Richards all record Marshalltown wins

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Aug. 21) – Marshalltown Speedway was back in action Friday night, missing only one week of racing due to the area’s devastating derecho.  The lights taken down during the storm were replaced with two BOSS LTG Stadium Light Towers and the show went on with KMJ Performance Free Grandstand Night. Tom Berry put on another dominating performance, winning for the eighth time this season in the IMCA Modifieds. Dallon Murty is mastering the High Banks in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, tak­ing his third trip to victory lane.  Johnathon Logue took the checkers for the third race in a row in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Braden Richards went back to the winner’s circle in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.
