ARDMORE, Okla. (May 24, 2022) – Early entries top 120 as all stars in three IMCA divisions will see action each night of the May 25-29 All Star Shootout. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods both for $750 to win beginning with opening night Wednesday, May 25 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. The Shootout is then Texas-bound for shows Thursday, May 26 at Grayson County Speedway in Bells; Friday, May 27 at Boyd Raceway; Saturday, May 28 at Kennedale Speedway Park; and Sunday, May 29 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco. BOYD, Texas (May 29) – The higher line took Chad Wilson to the front of the Texas Sprint Series feature field Friday at Boyd Raceway. The lower line kept him there.  Wilson started the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car 20-lapper from ninth, found a line to his liking higher up on the oval and passed Brandon Howle for the lead before midway.  He moved to lower grooves from that point and won ahead of Lucas Scherb and Logan Scherb.  Zane Lawrence and Jeb Sessums completed the top five. BOYD, Texas (May 28) – The IMCA Modified William Gould sold five years ago put him back in the winner’s circle again Friday night at Boyd Raceway. Gould raced from the 10th starting spot to the lead midway through the All Star Shootout fueled by Fast Shafts headliner, then held off a pair of hard chargers in Jacob Pirkle and Jon White to the $1,000 checkers. “I like a fast track with more than one line and I like a short track,” Gould said. “This track was everything I like.
