IMCA SportMod Mayhem is Saturday at Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. – Mayhem and a potential big cash giveaway to a lucky fan along with numerous other giveaways are on tap for Saturday night as racing action kicks back into high gear atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval in southwest Kansas.

The Aug. 24 card is headlined by the popular sixth annual IMCA SportMod Mayhem event with the IMCA SportMods battling it out for a $1,000 winner’s share.

The card is rounded out by a full slate of championship chase action including Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. 

Racing action will get under way at 7:30 p.m.

Along with the tremendous racing action, a lucky fan could pocket as much as $1,500 during the evening.  Someone’s ticket will be drawn for the opportunity to roll three dice.  Each roll will be worth $500 with three successful rolls netting $1,500. 

Woodward, Okla.’s Mike Roach reigns as the defending champion of SportMod Mayhem after beating Brandon Kenney and 2017 winner Dustin Daniels to the line to become the first two-time winner of the event.

Along with Roach and Daniels, other past Sport Modified Mayhem winners include Kaleb Roach in 2016 and Clay Money in the inaugural rendition in 2014. 

The SportMod Mayhem feature payout is as follows: 1st – $1,000, 2nd – $750, 3rd – $500, 4th – $400, 5th – $350, 6th – $300, 7th – $250, 8th – $200, 9th – $175, 10th – $150, 11th – $125, 12th – $100, 13th – $100, 14th – $100, 15th – $100, 16th – $75, 17th – $75, 18th – $75, 19th – $75, 20th – $75.

General admission is $15 with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
