Joe Crist Memorial IMCA Stock Car Shootout this Friday

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, July 26, is the third annual Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout at US 36 Raceway. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are racing for $1,262 to win and $125 to start. Heat races pay $62 to win among other bonuses.

The weekend also provides an opportunity for Stock Car drivers to run two big money shows. The following night, Saturday, July 27, Bethany Speedway will complete the Stock Car weekend with a $1,262 to win race as well. The race pays $90 to start. Between the two tracks, there is over $2,500 on the line if a driver can sweep the weekend. 

On Friday, July 26, at US 36, along with the Stock Cars, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and E-Modifieds are also racing.

The pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6 p.m. The drivers’ meeting is at 6:45 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing is at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior and military, $5 for children seven to 12 years of age and children six and younger are free.

Weekly racers ready to go Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – Between rainouts and special events at U.S. 36 Raceway, a month has passed since the weekly competitors at all competed on the same night.  Friday, June 12, the weekly racers ready to challenge the high banks once again. US 36 Raceway practice moved to Sunday

OSBORN, Mo. (March 31, 2022) – The US 36 Raceway practice scheduled for Saturday, April 2 has been moved to Sunday, April 3 from 1-5 p.m.  Better weather is in the forecast for Sunday, said track officials, and the extra day will also allow more time for track prep.

IMCA Stock Car win at US 36 is first for Smith

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (June 16, 2023) – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at US 36 Raceway saw side-by-side racing and a first-time visitor to victory lane Friday night. Carson Masoner took the early lead and pulled away from the field with Brad Derry, Matthew Lance and Nate Barnes nipping at his heels. He continued to lead until Randy Smith Jr. found the fast line around the track and took over at the front. Smith, who has won in about everything except an IMCA Stock Car, did not look back nor was he denied in picking up his first-ever feature win in The Class Too Tough To Tame at US 36 Raceway. Lance placed a very close second with Barnes crossing in third. The Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature ended with Dillon Raffurty back in victory lane.
