Allen aces Arlington foes for checkers at Grams Memorial

ARLINGTON, Minn. – The Saturday, Sept. 23 season championship night program at Arlington Raceway will be in honor of Scott Schoknecht. Schoknecht, from Belle Plaine, was very instrumental in helping many drivers with his unselfish knowledge in setting up race cars. Friends have collected donations from almost 40 individuals and businesses to add to the purse for the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Both features will be $1,500 to win, $800 for second, $500 for third, $300 for fourth and $200 for fifth through 24th place. The Modified feature is a 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. After the race, four numbers will be drawn for finishing positions 5-24 and each of those spots will receive a total of $1,000. There will also be a $500 hard charger award in these two classes. ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 18, 2022) – After thinking back to the time when he could hardly win a single race, Cory Probst talked about what it took for him to win 200 of them.  Probst earned the 200th feature win of his IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock Car career on Saturday at Arlington Raceway. The checkers were his eighth in 15 starts this season and already his sixth of 2022 at the big Sibley County Fairgrounds speedplant. “It was pretty special. ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 6) – Dan Menk was the third and final leader in Saturday’s MN93 IMCA Modified feature at Arlington Raceway.  Troy Gudmonson paced the first circuit before going to the work area with mechanical issues. Joe Roberts ran in front the next two laps with Clint Hatlestad close behind. By the fourth lap, Menk got around both cars and took over the lead position. He held the spot through two cautions to win ahead of Hatlestad and Chad Porter.  Neil Stevens took the lead on the 13th lap en route to the Alpha Media IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car checkers. Racing was often four-wide in the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car main event.
