INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 19) – Add another Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Independ­ence Motor Speedway to the growing list of rainouts. 

Tonight’s IMCA Late Model tour race at Indee has been canceled due to rain and resulting condi­tions. No make-up date has been announced. 

Next up on the Deery schedule is the $2,000 to win event at Benton County Speedway in Vinton on Thursday, June 27.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. for the county fair show. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Sunday show at Quad City Speedway next for Deery Series

EAST MOLINE, Ill. – The first of back-to-back events in Illinois is this weekend for the Deery Brothers Summer Series. Quad City Speedway is next on the schedule for the IMCA Late Model tour, with a $2,000 check going to the winner of the Sunday, Aug. 11 main event. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3:30 p.m. at East Moline. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. with racing to follow. Nezworski nabs Deery finale, Kay tops tour, Hurst takes national IMCA Late Model prize

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Sept. 21) – Andy Nezworski won the main event, Justin Kay won the tour title and Jeremiah Hurst won the IMCA Late Model championship when the Deery Brothers Summer Series concluded Friday at Davenport Speedway. Nezworski led every lap of the 40-lap, $2,000 to win caution-free Governor’s Cup feature. Chuck Hanna got close in lapped traffic but couldn’t find a way around the leader. Kay, who’d won the IMCA Modified feature earlier in the program, and Ryan Dolan both passed Hanna on the final lap; ‘B’ feature winner and hard charger Tyler Bruening rounded out the top five. After scouting out fast line, Becerra banks biggest check at Benton County’s Urbana 5

VINTON, Iowa (July 11) – Watching the IMCA Modified feature from his vantage point in staging gave Austen Becerra a pretty good idea where the fast line would be for his own main event Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. The Carthage, Ill., visitor made his way around the high side of The Bullring, leading all 20 laps of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature for a $2,200 Urbana 5 special payday.  “Sitting in staging, I could see Cayden Carter running the top side and thought that was going to be the place to be,” said Becerra, winner of the 2018 Hogan Memorial in one of his earlier, rare visits to Vinton. “I had no idea how much we were ahead of everybody else.
