Schafroth wins again at Stuart

STUART, Iowa (May 2) – Buck Schafroth was back in victory lane following Thursday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Stuart Speedway.

Schafroth took the lead from Jeremy Gettler on lap four; second-running Todd VanEaton exited with mechanical issues on the 11th circuit, with Mike Nichols moving up to challenge. 

The race went green from there and Schafroth had his hands full as Nichols worked high and low trying to find a way around. After taking the white flag, Nichols seemed to set up a move down the backstretch and into turn three, but his car went up on two wheels in turn three and his shot at the win was over.

Schafroth took the exciting victory with 17th starting Shawn Ritter sneaking by Nichols for second.

Shannon Anderson topped an IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature that ran caution-free and Tyler Inman followed the lower line to the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod checkers.

Roberts dominates Bill Davis Memorial at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, IA (May 5) – The Bill Davis Memorial and a pair of make-up features highlighted Wednesday night action at Stuart Speedway. Nick Roberts and Scott Bash started on the front row of the IMCA Modified feature. Roberts led early with Josh Gilman powering into second on lap three.  Gilman worked high and low but it was not to be as Roberts took the dominating win.  Gilman tangled with a lapped car on the final lap giving second place to Bash. Third was Kyle Brown with Shane DeVolder fourth and David Brown fifth. Dallon and Damon Murty led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars to the green flag with Dallon taking the lead on lap one. Dallon would work the bottom side of the track with Damon up top.  A few cautions bunched the field and Dallon would hold off the challengers to take the win. Four IMCA divisions headline five April Frostbuster dates

VINTON, Iowa (March 26, 2024) – It’s the spring version of Iowa Speedweek as four IMCA divisions travel to five different tracks for Wednesday-Sunday, April 3-7 Frostbuster specials. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 and both Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win each night beginning at Independence Motor Speedway, with dates at Stuart Speedway, Marshalltown Speedway and Boone Speedway leading up to the finale at Benton County Speedway in Vinton. Frostbuster champions earn the biggest share of $1,000 point funds and will be eligible for race of champions events at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Five IMCA divisions featured in fifth annual Midwest Madness Tour     

WORTHINGTON, Minn.
