SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 15) – Brian Mullen made his move to the front on the final circuit in winning Sunday’s IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway.
An opening lap wreck in the open wheel headliner sent point leader Mike Mullen down pit lane with damage and he did not return. J.J. Andersen then led from the drop of the green until lap six when Konnor Wilinski took away the top spot.
Wilinski paced the field, running up top as Mullen worked through the pack. Mullen began to close with five to go. Mullen made his move as the white flag flew, diving under Wilinski for the lead, the win and top spot in the point standings.
Kyle Frederick collected the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers and Cody Schroeder raced past Cole Mangin with four laps remaining to win the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.
Michael Brehmer came out on top in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
By Joe Verdegan SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 17, 2024) – Josh Mroczkowski’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Outagamie Speedway Friday night was beyond impressive for a couple of reasons. For starters, the Krakow racer’s margin of victory at the checkers was a mere .028 seconds. What’s more, Mroczkowski fought off a pair of former IMCA national champions to the line in the process – Pulaski drivers Rod Snellenberger and Brandon Czarapata. Mroczkowski started inside row two of the 20 lap contest and wrestled the lead away from Keegan Van Ooyen on lap four. As the laps clicked off, Snellenberger and Czarapata, who started in the fifth and sixth rows, respectively, began methodically picking off their opponents one-by-one and began to gradually reel in the Krakow Ace. A late race caution bunched up the field, and despite Snellenberger’s best efforts Mroczkowski beat Snellenberger at the line by mere inches. The margin was so close the finish had to be confirmed by transponder scoring. Snellenberger settled for runner-up money, with Czarapata, Nick Buckarma and Devin Snellenberger [Read More]
By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 27, 2022) – One hundred and seventy-six racers checked in to do battle Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Cody Schroeder raced to the lead early during the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Schroeder looked poised to earn a Kim Parsons Memorial Trophy as he sped away from his competitors. Several cautions kept the field bunched but at every turn Schroeder was in command until the caution flew with five laps remaining. Rookie Jayden Schmidt was able to slip under Schroeder on the restart to take the lead. Schmidt never looked back to score his first Modified win at the speedway, to the delight of the hometown crowd. Johnny Whitman made a late-race charge to place second, Marcus Yarie battled all race long to take third, Brian Mullen was fourth and Schroeder completed the top five. In the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods it was Ryan Schmidt pacing the opening circuits. Schmidt set sail, leaving the battle for second between Matthew Radtke and Jeff Schmuhl. Schmidt built up a straightaway advantage until a [Read More]
By Joe Verdegan SEYMOUR, Wis. (Jun. 6, 2025) — Hometown driver Mike Mullen gave the locals plenty to cheer about at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour Friday. The second-generation driver not only pulled off feature wins in two divisions — the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars and one of the local divisions — he also scored heat wins in both classes, earning clean sweeps in each respective division. Mullen jumped into his IMCA Stock Car to scrap for the $1,000 top prize. Starting eighth on the grid, he sliced through the field to take second place by lap seven, right behind leader Travis Van Straten. Mullen motored past the former IMCA National champion to snag the lead on lap nine. While Mullen kept all challengers at bay, Van Straten had his hands full, duking it out with another former IMCA National champion, Rod Snellenberger, in the battle for second. When the checkers flew, Mullen scored his second feature win of the night — his third of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region — and his [Read More]
