Thompson, Roth are IMCA winners at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 24) – Sunday racing action at Dubuque Speedway provided the fans with a thrilling night of action packed plenty of wheel-to-wheel action on Casey’s General Store Night at the Races.

Derek Thompson found the tacky track to his liking in scoring the 20-lap Merfeld Auto IMCA Modified feature. Thompson led the most laps in taking the checkers ahead of Austin Moyer and Matt Short.

Jason Roth won his second consecutive GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod main event. Roth took the point position after the midway portion of the 18-lap main and went on to cross under the flag stand ahead of Gage Neal and Troy Bauer.

Garnhart speeds to Smokey Rupp Memorial win

By Rob Hinckley DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 9) – Bryce Garnhart thought he would settle for second. Then the yellow light flashed in front of him due to the leader crashing. The defending track champion put the pedal down on the restart and cruised to the 25-lap Smokey Rupp Memorial Merfeld Brothers IMCA Modified win Sunday at Dubuque Speedway. McCrady takes charge at Dubuque Speedway, Sunday shows will feature five IMCA divisions

DUBUQUE, Iowa – New promoter Nick McCrady has a to-do list that starts with putting on an entertaining race program each and every Sunday this race season at Dubuque Speedway. “This is an awesome facility and we’re excited to work with the fair board here. We’ve already gotten a lot of support from drivers and fans,” said McCrady, who also returns to the promoter’s post at Saturday venue Maquoketa Speedway. “We want them to know they’re appreciated and we want to put on a good show while we’re building car counts back up.” Five sanctioned divisions will run weekly at the 3/8-mile oval in Dubuque, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Dubuque Speedway opens with Schueller, Busch winners

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa (April 29) – The 2018 racing season is officially underway at the Dubuque Speedway with opening night action being held on Sunday, April 29. Jason Schueller served notice that winning the track championship in 2017 was only incentive to repeat in the very tough IMCA Modified division. Schueller drove his new Rage chassis to the 20-lap feature win ahead of Mark Schulte and Tyler Madigan. Scott Busch used his front row start to his advantage in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and earned the opening night feature win. Busch led flag to flag in scoring the win ahead of Jerry Miles and Tyler Soppe.

Starry Stars in Stock Cars for Opening Night of Texas Showdown at I-37

By J.M. Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (Jan. 7, 2026) — After a short winter break, I-37 Speedway, just south of San Antonio, returned to action with a huge four-day show, the Texas Showdown. The event features IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars on the ¼-mile, semi-banked dirt oval, with strong early-season payouts. Extra money is also up for grabs for any driver sweeping all four nights in the two Speedway Motors IMCA classes. The start of the 20-lap IMCA Stock Car feature saw Beau Collins and Cody Leonard stay side by side into turn one, but it was Collins who gained the advantage off turn two.
