Allen captures Dirt Dominator at Heart O’ Texas

WACO, Texas (May 25) – Chase Allen of Midlothian punched his ticket into the IMCA Modified Dirt Dominator finale with his qualifying win Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway.

Allen was paired with Abilene driver Chris Elliott in the final round.

Allen took the lead at the drop of the green flag for the two and a half lap shootout. Elliott re­mained within striking distance while running patiently around the low side of the speedway as the white flag flew.

Allen kept his no. 130 machine up on the high side around the smooth and slick high-banked quar­ter-mile dirt oval. Allen had little pressure entering the final set of corners as he cruised to the win and the $1,000 payday.

With the win, Allen is now locked into the $10,000-to-win Dirt Dominator finale at Heart O’ Texas Speedway on Oct. 25.

Eric Tomlinson defeated Riley Simmons; Cory Davis defeated Chris Bragg; Justin McCoy de­feated Garrett Higgins; Chris Elliott defeated Jeff Hoegh; Ryan Williams defeated Danny Turner; Clay Money defeated Colin Deming; Justin Radcliff defeated Brandon Hood; and Chase Allen defeated Chris Morris.

Elite 8

Davis defeated Tomlinson; Elliott defeated McCoy; Money defeated Williams; and Allen defeated Radcliff.

Final Four

Elliott defeated Davis; and Allen defeated Money.

Allen defeated Elliott.

Dialed in, Egbert drives to Jack Bagby Memorial win

WACO, Texas (March 6) – Quick to get a new car dialed in, P.J. Egbert was quick to get to the checkers and $1,000 IMCA Modified payday Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Jack Bagby Memorial.  Egbert led all 20 laps, moving from the top of the track to the lower line and holding off David Goode Jr. the last five times around the oval.  “Luck was on our side, getting to start on the front row,” said Egbert, wheeling a 2020 Lethal Chassis at the 23rd annual special. “We can’t complain at all. Raffurty takes Texas-sized check home from inaugural Texas Mod Lite Nationals 

WACO, Texas (Oct. 15, 2022) – After he consulted Google Maps to decide on gear for the weekend, Dillon Raffurty didn’t need any help finding the fastest way around Heart O’ Texas Speedway.  Raffurty’s first visit to the Waco speedplant paid off with the $10,000 checkers at the first annual Texas Mod Lite Nationals. “It was a pretty good weekend,” understated Raffurty, who had collected 30 wins in defending his IMCA STARS Mod Lite national championship this season. “It was exciting. Wolla takes winning ways to Texas for $5,000 Fall Classic IMCA Modified checkers WACO, Texas (Oct. 27) – Add Texas to the list of states Jason Wolla has scored first-time wins in this season. Wolla topped the IMCA Modified main event at the Heart O’ Texas Fall Classic, leading the last 15 of 25 circuits to earn the $5,000 top prize. “The thing I liked best about this was that any time you can go to a track you’ve never been to and win, it says a lot about your race program,” he said following his biggest IMCA career payday. “This season we went to Kansas, Montana and Texas and won for the first time in each state.
