Hansen begins title defense with Outagamie checkers

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 19, 2023) – Lucas Lamberies led the way to the checkers Friday night, in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway. Lucas Lamberies paced the opening laps with defending track champion Jayden Schmidt giving chase. Lamberies worked the cushion to perfection opening his advantage over second. Lamberies carved his way through lap track traffic enroute to his first win of the season. Schmidt had to settle for second at the pay window, Josh Long was third and Cody Schroeder took fourth.   In Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod action it was Mathew Radtke setting the pace early until Mason Woods came storming by on lap five. Woods led the rest of the way to score his first win of the season. By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 16, 2023) – Jordan Bartz and Eric Arneson both raced their way to the winner’s circle Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Fresh off a heat race win, Chris Pigeon paced the opening laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Pigeon ran the cushion as Bartz went to work down low. Bartz made the pass for the top spot on lap four and never looked back, cruising to her first feature win of the season and a clean sweep on the night. Lucas Lamberies rallied late to place second, last week’s winner Cole Czarneski took third and Jason Ebert rounded out the top four. By Edward Anschutz  SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 5) – First-time 2019 winners were the story Friday at Outagamie Speed­way.  Adam Reed took the lead away from Chase Parker early in the IMCA Modified feature. Parker moved to the top groove, retaking the front spot on lap five. Parker continued to lead as Wyatt Block Jr.  and newcomer Cody Schroeder gave pursuit.   Parker was up for the challenge, holding off all challengers to score his first win of the season. Block was second while Schroeder took third in only his third night in the class.    In IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action, it was Mike Schmidt leading the first half of the feature. That’s when Chas Van Ooyen found traction up top, racing around Schmidt for the lead with six laps remaining.   Josh Mroczkowski hounded Van Ooyen all the way to the checkers.
