Boone’s Cinco de Mayo pays IMCA Modified winner $1,000

BOONE, Iowa – Boone Speedway celebrates Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 5 with more money on the line for IMCA Modified drivers.

Five hundred dollars goes to the winners of qualifiers that determine starting positions on inside and outside of the main event; the feature winner earns $1,000, a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and a provisional start in the September Prelude to the Super Nationals.

A $500 bonus will also be paid to the fifth place starter if they can win that race.

Also on the card are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. The Hobby Stock feature pays $500 to the winner.

There is no entry fee. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Iowa State and track points will be awarded.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $5 for youth and free for ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $25.

Pit gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the front gates open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
