JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 15) – Dave Riley got the best of a stellar field of IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, at Raceway Park’s Jim Johnson Memorial.

Riley matched the highest-paying wins of his career with the $1,000 Sunday night checkers.

Front row starter Tony Fetterman had shot to the lead and held off various challengers throughout three restarts. Following the fourth caution, Riley made his move on the outside in turns three and four to take over up front.

A late caution resulted in a green, white, checkered finish and Riley denied a final charge by Fetterman to take the victory, his third this season at Jefferson including opening night of the South Dakota Spring Nationals.

Behind the lead duo, “B” feature winner David Miller completed a charge through the field for third ahead of Damon Richards and Matt Baker

Thirty-two drivers checked in and sought shares of a Hobby Stock purse topping $3,000.

Other feature winners were Justin Zeitner in the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, Les Lundquist in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Brewer in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Cody Thompson in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.
