JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 23) – In the final point night leading into this upcoming Sunday’s championship finale, five drivers raced to victory lane while others tightened points races in their division.
The Casey’s General Stores IMCA Stock Cars put on one of the best shows of the night with Chris Mills coming out on top of a race-long duel with Jason Ward. Jay Goosman rounded out the top three.
The Total Motors IMCA Modified feature saw Chris Abelson continue his hot streak with another feature win. Behind Abelson at the checkers was Jim Thies, followed by Jason Schneiders.
The Skyline Casino IMCA Northern SportMods got off to a wild start but once the cautions ended, Todd Boulware raced to the front of the pack to take the win over Karl Brewer and Darin Roepke.
Mike Hanson powered to the win in the MOPAR IMCA Hobby Stock feature. Hanson led from flag to flag, holding off Derek Husted and John Cain to the checkers.
In the KISS 107 FM IMCA Sport Compact division, 2014 champion Ramsey Meyer made only his second appearance of the season count with a trip to victory lane. Following Meyer across the line were Andrew Vogt and Cody Boulware.
Championship night action kicks off this Sunday, Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in all five IMCA divisions.
