Eakin, Smith are Sprint winners at I-90

HARTFORD, S.D. (July 4) – Nate Eakin lead 35 laps of Coffee Cup IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature racing Saturday at I-90 Speedway.

The first 20 were in the makeup feature, which was postponed due to rain a week ago. Eakin dominated the field as the race went without caution.

Eakin won the night’s heat before going on a tear in the regularly scheduled feature. He led the first 15 laps but Colin Smith began to catch him and on the 16th lap Smith made an incredible pass in the second turn to become the first driver overtake Eakin on Saturday.
