NORFOLK, Neb. (July 4) – Troy Bruns won his second Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature at Off Road Speedway on Saturday night, ending Kyle Prauner’s streak of six straight victories.

Bruns needed 12 laps to get the lead, only to see his work temporarily negated by the race’s only caution, which returned him to second behind Eric Haase.

On the restart Bruns made his move and passed Haase on the outside. Meanwhile, Prauner, was passed Justin Addison on the inside and then slipped past Haase with five laps remaining.

Prauner was able to switch cars quickly enough to pick up a win in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature, edging ahead of Shawn Primrose coming out of turn four with a narrow lead at the finish line.

Jeremy Hoskinson took his second IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers and forced Tracy Buck to continue his quest for a first-ever win at Off Road Speedway.

Buck had taken advantage of his front-row starting position to lead 12 laps, holding on to the lead in spite of three restarts. But during that time Hoskinson was moving up, and following the fourth restart, with three laps to go, was able to pass Buck on the outside.

Lance Mielke prevented Ramsey Meyer from earning back-to-back Mach-1 Sport Compact wins. Mielke, who finished second to Meyer last week, turned the tables on the late-race tactics Meyer used in order to take his second feature win of the year.
