MASON CITY, Iowa (June 28) – Joe Willier has been close for the past four starts at the I-35 Speedway and finally got his first feature win of the season on Sunday.

Willier had finished in the top four three times his last four starts before piloting his number 96 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car rig into the winner’s circle by using the low.

Travis Shipman took second with Kevin Opheim third.

Tim Ward made a late pass of Ethan Dotson, then held off a fast-closing Kelly Shryock for the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified victory.

It has been a while since Nick West crossed the finish line first as the hometown driver won his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature since July 14 of 2013 at I-35. Alex Zwanziger placed second with Nate Chodur third.

Andrew Borchardt won the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature for the second straight week, sliding between a pair of cars down the backstretch. Chanse Hollatz was second, followed by Scott Dobel.

Devin Jones’ success at I-35 in the Mach-1 Sport Compact division continued as he won his third local feature. Oliver Monson was the runner-up in the feature with Jacob Kofoot placing third.
