FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (June 20) – Battle lines were drawn. Everyone knows what everyone else has in their cars and the hottest three drivers the week before the Clash at the Creek at 141 Speedway are R.M. Van Pay, Kyle Frederick and Kelsy Hayes.

Van Pay cruised to his second straight Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified victory at Francis Creek on Saturday, after walking the tight rope on top and powering past James Tebon for the lead on the seventh circuit.

Frederick moved from sixth to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car lead on lap five after a move down low. Frederick pulled away from the field, leaving the battle for second. Troy Muench started 14th on the field and quickly found his way to second.

Muench got the break he needed when a final caution flew on lap 15. Frederick stayed true up on top of the track and pulled away yet again for his second win of the season. Muench finished second.

Hayes used an early restart to her advantage and moved from third to first. She then went unchallenged en route to her second straight win and third overall.

The battle for second heated up in the waning laps as Tom Stark and Ryan Lemieux made contact in turn two with two laps remaining. Both racers limped their cars back to the line with Lemieux edging Stark for second.

Dustin Forbes topped the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature.
