OSHKOSH, Wis. (June 19) – Marcus Yarie made his first visit to victory lane this season, following Friday’s Automotive Supply Company IMCA Modified main event at Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway.
Once to the front, Yarie ran a mistake-free race while second-running Steve Schneider looked high and low for a way around.
Yarie held his challengers at bay, winning in front of Tim Robbins and Schneider.
The Total Power Sales IMCA Stock Cars ran caution-free and John Heinz was in front when the checkers flew.
Point leader Travis Van Straten was right behind in second. Greg Gutt, making a visit to his home state, had an impressive run to third. Jerry Winkler was fourth and Dion Wahl had his best run of the season, finishing fifth.
Colten Van Hierden made his machine stick and took over the lead on lap 16 of the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main. He pulled away over the final four circuits and recorded his third local feature win of the season. Brock Saunders took the runner-up finish with Jeff Schmuhl right behind.
