JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 21) – Chris Abelson worked his way to the front of the Total Motors IMCA Modified feature field to take the victory and the point lead Sunday at Raceway Park. Ricky Stephan moved into second in the final laps and held off Dan Loggins for the position.
The Casey’s General Stores IMCA Stock Car feature had plenty of action throughout the field but out front Chris Mills pulled away for a 20-car length victory over Aaron Cain and Bo Lundquist.
The Skyline Casino IMCA Northern SportMod feature had Karl Brewer take the win over Todd Boulware and Kaleb Kennedy.
In MOPAR IMCA Hobby Stock action, Jake McClure powered to the front in the early laps and held off a race-long challenge from Dave Riley and John Cain to take the victory.
The KISS 107 FM Sport Compact division saw a big swing in the standings as second place point man Cody Thompson picked up the feature win over Andrew Vogt and Cody Boulware, while his nearest competitors in the championship, Drew Johnson and Luke Jackson, failed to finish the feature. This puts Thompson atop the points heading into the mid-season championships next week.
