MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 22) – Adam Larson won at Marshalltown for the first time this season in Friday’s Coors Light IMCA Modified main event.
Scott Simatovich was the early leader while Larson, Joel Rust and Jimmy Gustin went two- and three-wide behind him. Rust grabbed the lead away on lap nine, then gave way to Gustin on lap 12.
Gustin, in turn, saw Larson take the lead away on lap 13 and drive to the checkers. Rust took second, Josh Gilman came from ninth to third and Gustin was fourth and Simatovich.
Donavon Smith was the winner by a bumper over Trent Murphy in the Miller Lite IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature.
Colby Heishman won his career first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature on Tuesday and won his second Friday at Marshalltown.
Austin Luellen won another Toby K’s Hideaway IMCA Hobby Stock main event, by a car length over Andy Hick.
