SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 3) – Mike Wedelstadt pulled away from the pack en route to Budweiser IMCA Modified career win number 110 Sunday at Seymour Speedway.
Jerry Wilinski had taken charge and set the pace for the first six laps before Wedelstadt powered by on the outside. A pair of cautions on lap eight bunched the field but Wedelstadt stayed in control and pulled away from the second place battle to collect his first feature win of the season.
Wilinski, Jamie Schmidt, Mark Joski and Chad Bartel ran together in a tight battle for the runner-up spot, which Joski was able to secure at the finish.
Mike Schmidt ran the inside line to perfection and collected his first career Seymour Coors Light IMCA Stock Car win. Rod Snellenberger made a hard run over the final two laps for second.
Lucas Lamberies also made the most of the inside groove and won the O’Reilly Auto Parts IMCA Northern SportMod headliner. Second was J.J. Anderson.
