Winning Sunday IMCA Stock Car feature is worth $1,000 at Worthington Speedway

WORTHINGTON, Minn. – A $1,000 to win, B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying event is on the ticket this Sunday at Worthington Speedway. Sponsor for the Stock Car race is Medieval Chassis. The Sept. 19 program is a make-up event for the fair race and is held in conjunction with the town’s King Turkey Day celebration, and also features Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods running for $550 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks running for $500 to win, IMCA Modifieds and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $30. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. and hot laps are at 5 p.m. with racing to follow. Worthington Speedway welcomes back five IMCA divisions

WORTHINGTON, Minn. – The loyal contingent of IMCA drivers locally and from across a three-state area have a new Saturday venue in Worthington Speedway this season. Five sanctioned divisions fill 14 weekly race programs beginning May 22, with the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season continuing through Aug. 28. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts all return to the quarter-mile black dirt oval, located in the southwest corner of Minnesota. Goodwin Scores Emotional SportMod Victory at McLean County

(May 21, 2026) — The 2026 season opener at McLean County Speedway delivered an emotional night of racing on Thursday, highlighted by Tim Goodwin’s inspiring comeback victory in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods. Goodwin, from Williston, battled through adversity throughout the feature. While challenging for the lead late in the race, he slipped into the marbles but managed to recover and regain momentum before charging back to the front with five laps remaining. From there, he checked out on the field to score his first victory since a devastating Highway 83 accident outside of Underwood on May 29 of last year that nearly claimed his life. Goodwin started third in the feature. Lance Lochtowe, who led much of the race, finished second ahead of Stan Tomlinson. Ferrando Flies to $2,000 West Coast Modified Clash Victory at Grays Harbor

(May 23, 2026) — The opening night of the 2026 West Coast Modified Clash at Grays Harbor Raceway brought 33 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds to battle at the fast 3/8-mile clay oval. Scio, Oregon’s Grey Ferrando jumped to the early lead and set a torrid pace out front in the 30-lap feature. Behind him, Matt Sanders charged through the field from his 12th starting position in his Grays Harbor Raceway debut, climbing to second by lap seven while navigating heavy traffic. Sanders began reeling in Ferrando in lapped traffic and cut the lead down to 1.7 seconds before a caution slowed the field. Another quick yellow for Jesse Williamson tightened things up again, allowing Collen Winebarger, a late entry during the wheel of the Swan Island Sheet Metal-owned No. 99S, to work into third. Freiburger Charges to Davenport Modified Victory

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 22, 2026) — Jed Freiburger captured the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Friday night at Davenport Speedway, racing from seventh starting position to lead the final 10 laps of the main event. The race started with Charlie Mohr grabbing the early lead from the pole. On lap six, Brandon Durbin took over the top spot. When Mohr attempted to reclaim the lead, he spun and dropped back in the running order. Freiburger, from Dubuque, used the bottom groove to reel in Durbin before making the winning pass on lap 11. The victory was Freiburger’s second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the season, with triumphs now coming at two different tracks.
