Whole Hog Hat Trick for Dallon Murty

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 29, 2023) –The finale of the third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork ran Monday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Kolby Sabin, Dallon Murty, Calvin Dhondt and Mitchell Morris. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts kicked off the features and it was Anthony Clark leading through lap five. Sabin found a quicker line to take over the next time around and he cruised to the win. Clark finished second with Elijah Hoyt third, Terry Bickford fourth and Zander Steiner fifth. The next race would be the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and the third running of the Whole Hog 50. Murty, Schafroth top Whole Hog Qualifier Winners

STUART, Iowa (May 28, 2023) – The third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork kicked off Sunday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Jon Padilla, Ben Kraus, Damon Murty, Buck Schafroth, Tristan Grape, Brayton Carter and Todd Shute. Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites were first to the track for the final night of the three-day swing for the Cornbelt Clash. Jon Padilla led early and often in this one with Josh May stalking him in second. May and Austin Gray had a couple of chances with cautions but Padilla had the line and stayed smooth to take the win. Gray came home second with Justin Kinderknecht third, May faded to fourth and Brandon Freeburg fifth. Padilla took home an extra $1,000 for the Clash points title, May $500 and Kinderknecht $250 to round out the top three. Murty on top to start season 62 at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 10, 2023) – The engines fired up once again on Wednesday as another season began at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway with the Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel. The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main started with Garrett Nelson and Cody Yaw on the front row. Nelson led lap one with Taylor Kuehl muscling by on the top side to take over on lap two. Kuehl led through a lap five yellow and it was Brayton Carter taking over from there. A couple cautions were the only thing slowing the 01 machine down as Carter cruised to the $1,000 win. Cam Reimers finished in second with Kuehl third, Mitchell Morris fourth and Matt Avila fifth. Kaplan takes thriller at Stuart’s Clint Walrod Memorial

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (July 27, 2022) – Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway had 125 cars in the pits for the Clint Walrod Memorial Wednesday night. Feature winners were Michael Hotze, Cam Reimers, Austin Kaplan, Cody Laney and Dylan Nelson. The first feature on the track was the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts with Hotze, Tyler Fiebelkorn and Kolby Sabin battling over the top three spots. Hotze stretched his lead out to just over a second and went on to the $1,000 feature win, his first in the division. Sabin came out on top in the battle for second with Fiebelkorn third, Jake Walding fourth and Ryan Brown fifth. Gilman is IMCA Modified winner at Stuart’s Bill Davis Sr. Memorial

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (June 22, 2022) – One hundred and five race cars made their way to Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway for the Bill Davis Sr. Memorial on Wednesday night. Todd VanEaton led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature until a lap nine caution came out and the field was reset. This let 15-year-old Rowdee Van Genderen take advantage of the restart to get out front and lead the first feature laps of his young career.  Van Genderen led and was pulling away when another caution slowed the field on lap 15. He would stay out front for one more lap, but getting a great drive off of the bottom was Josh Pruitt with Miciah Hidlebaugh in tow. Hidlebaugh made it to Pruitt’s door in turn four but the two kept things clean and it was Pruitt taking the win. Murty dominant in Whole Hog 50 repeat at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, IA (May 30, 2022) – It was 2021 all over again on night two Monday of the Whole Hog 50 at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway as Dallon Murty repeated as the $5,000 winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event.  Dallon started outside his father Damon on the front row for the 50 lap feature and took control early, with Murty senior and Dustin Vis not far behind.  A yellow on lap 13 helped Jay Schmidt slide into third as the Murtys’ continued to pace the field. Vis was able to get back by Schmidt for third after the second and final caution on lap 22, and as the race wound down it was Dallon extending his lead over Damon. Shryock shines in IMCA Modified classic at Stuart’s Whole Hog

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 29, 2022) – The two-day Whole Hog 50 fired up Sunday evening at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Feature winners for the night were Justin Kinderknecht, Trent Reed, Colby Fett, and Kelly Shryock. IMCA Sunoco Stock Car qualifying feature winners for Monday’s Whole Hog 50 main event were Jeff Mueller, Troy Burkhart and Damon Murty. IMCA STARS Mod Lites were up first come feature time in their Cornbelt Clash finale with Darrick Knutson leading the first time around. Randy Bryan quickly shot into the lead on lap two and set the pace through a series of cautions.
