Salute to Veterans Tour Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Three Iowa Stops in July

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (June 29, 2026) — One of IMCA racing’s most meaningful traditions reaches a major milestone in 2026 as the Hunting with Heroes Salute to Veterans Tour powered by Performance Bodies & Parts celebrates its 10th anniversary with three stops across Iowa in July. The tour, organized by the 501(c)(3) charity, Hunting with Heroes, aims to connect veterans with their local dirt track communities and will visit Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer on Wednesday, July 22; Kossuth County Speedway in Algona on Thursday, July 23; and Boone Speedway on Saturday, July 25. By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (Jun. 27, 2025) — One of IMCA’s most meaningful racing traditions returns for 2025 as the Hunting with Heroes Salute to Veterans Tour powered by Performance Bodies & Parts makes its way through three Iowa tracks this July. Now in its fifth year visiting multiple venues and originally launched in 2017, this year’s tour heads to Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer on Wednesday, July 23; Kossuth County Speedway in Algona on Thursday, July 24; and Boone Speedway on Saturday, July 26. Each night will showcase Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern Sport Mods, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. Eckrich Charges From 15th for SportMod Victory at Davenport

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (June 26, 2026) — Fifteen-year-old Bryson Eckrich stormed from the 15th starting position Friday night to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature, earning his third victory of the season and second at Davenport Speedway in 2026. Cody Weih and Mike Adam traded the lead during the opening laps before Scott Walker took command on lap 13. Eckrich completed the winning pass one lap later and drove away over the closing circuits. Walker finished second, Adam was third, Cole Stichter placed fourth, and Tyler Maschmann completed the top five. Jordan Hicks also turned in a strong run, advancing from 20th to ninth. June Qualifiers Add 27 New Drivers to Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational Eligibility List

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (June 29, 2026) — June competition added 27 new drivers to the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified eligibility list for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, while many already eligible drivers continued to add to their win totals. A packed month of touring series, marquee specials, and weekly racing across the country kept qualifying opportunities plentiful throughout all five IMCA Modified regions. Drivers become eligible by winning IMCA-sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more to win, earning a place on the eligibility list to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September at Boone Speedway.
