Spring special at I-70 Motorsports Park one for IMCA Modified, Stock Car record book
ODESSA, Mo. (March 28, 2022) – A spring special at I-70 Motorsports Park will be one for the record book as both IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars make first-ever appearances at the Show-Me State Oval April 1 and 2. The motorsports park property, purchased by Chris Payne and Steve Bailey in 2016, features a high-banked clay oval 3/8’s of a mile around on the very bottom and more than half a mile around at the very top. “Modified and Stock Car drivers are going to be the first IMCA drivers to race here. We’ve run a couple sprint car events here but that’s it. No Modifieds or Stock Cars have ever been at this track,” said Track Manager Tommie Estes. “It’s big and it’s wide – the narrowest part of the track is 83 feet and that’s on the front straightaway – and it’s got some bank to it.
