Lafferty Captures Prestigious Camp Barnes Benefit Race

(July 31, 2026) — Rick Lafferty charged from third to victory Friday night, passing race-long leader Robbie Stillwaggon with five laps remaining to capture the prestigious Camp Barnes Benefit Race at Georgetown Speedway with the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade. Stillwaggon led from the drop of the green, while Lafferty settled into third behind Robbie and Ryan Stillwaggon during the early stages of the 25-lap feature. Lafferty worked past Ryan Stillwaggon for second on lap eight and gradually reeled in the leader over the next several circuits. After several unsuccessful bids, Lafferty capitalized when Robbie Stillwaggon drifted high entering turn three on lap 20, allowing him to drive underneath and complete the winning pass. A caution moments later for Zach Fields, who slowed with mechanical issues on the front straightaway, set up a five-lap dash to the finish. Betts Breaks Through at Home with Georgetown Victory

(May 29, 2026) — Defending series champion Troy Betts finally checked a long-sought accomplishment off his list Friday night, capturing his first career victory in his home state of Delaware during the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade at Georgetown Speedway. The Newark driver started fifth and charged to the front, taking the lead from Cody West on lap 14 before driving away to collect his first RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car win of the season and the fifth MASS victory of his career. Betts also pocketed the $1,000 winner’s share courtesy of Betts Garage Towing and Hauling. Cody West grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap feature while fourth-starting D.J. Super Nationals Registration Due Aug. 28 to Race in Prelude

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 21, 2026) — Drivers planning to compete in the NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude must be registered for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s by noon Central time Friday, Aug. 28. Competitors who register for Super Nationals after the deadline will not be eligible to compete in the Sept. 5-6 Prelude at Boone Speedway. Before registering, competitors must first purchase an IMCA license for every division in which they intend to compete. Drivers should then register for Super Nationals on MyRacePass. Entries will be confirmed in the order they are received, with car numbers assigned based on confirmation order. The 12th annual Prelude features two full days of racing, giving competitors one final opportunity to compete at Boone before Super Nationals officially gets underway.
