McDaniel doubles down at Susanville

(April 10) – Ryan McDaniel doubled up on his IMCA Modified winning total as he earned his second straight feature win at Diamond Mountain Speedway Saturday evening.  Hometown driver Riley Simmons placed second with third going to Chris Nieman. Nevin and Wade Kennemore were fourth and fifth in the finishing order.   In the Karl Kustom Northern SportMods, Craig Nieman took care of business to earn his first victory of the season.  Jimmy Ray Huffmon was the runner-up while Jason Emmot was third. Shayna Nieman and Joey Pearson completed the top five.

Diamond Mountain doubleheader sees Kennemore, Trenchard shine

(July 3-4) – Nevin Kennemore cashed in with his first IMCA Modified feature win of the season while Nick Trenchard returned to victory lane for a big win of his own on night two of the Independence Weekend special at Diamond Mountain Speedway. Kennemore led al 25 laps of the Friday feature, earning a career-best $1,500 payday and a spot of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. After seeing a sizable lead erased by a late caution, his win came ahead of Mitch Murphy and Alec Childs. Already an All-Star candidate, Trenchard started fifth and had to hold off Ryan McDaniel and Cory Sample for the $2,000 checkers. The win was his second this season at Susanville. Winebarger, DeVolder ring up wins at Diamond Mountain Speedway

(June 26-27) – Their dominating IMCA Modified runs put Collen Winebarger and Shane DeVolder in victory lane at Diamond Mountain Speedway’s weekend Showdown. Winebarger led every circuit to win his fourth overall feature of 2020 and earn $1,500. Already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, he was chased to the checkers by fellow Oregon racers John Campos and Jeff Lovell. Robert Miller ended the night in fourth and Ryan McDaniel was fifth. On Saturday, DeVolder led every lap but the first one to earn a huge victory at the Lassen County Fair­grounds and gained his second overall win of the year, good for $1,500 and an All-Star ballot berth. McDaniel ended in second with Winebarger getting third. Jim Pettit II posted a fourth-place finish with Riley Simmons rounding out the top five.
