Bitting Holds Off Madrid for $2,000 Hobby Stock Triumph at Show Low’s Budweiser 150 Freedom Nationals

(June 27, 2026) — Steve Bitting Jr. led all 50 laps to capture the $2,000 Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature Saturday night during the Budweiser 150 Freedom Nationals at Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway. The purse was increased because of the outstanding car count. The Phoenix driver earned his third B&B Racing Chassis Southern Region victory of the season, with two of those wins coming at Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway. Anthony Madrid, who earned the pole by winning the dash, pressured Bitting throughout the race while fending off challenges from Jason Duggins, Kyler Duggins and Hunter Ferrell. Late-race contact shuffled the running order as Kyler Duggins was sent to the rear following a restart. Shortly afterward, Ferrell spun, collecting Wesson Edwards-Miller, whose car rolled after bouncing off the outside wall. Budweiser 150 Freedom Nationals Returns to Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway June 26-27

(June 18, 2026) — One of the Southwest’s premier summer specials returns to Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway on June 26-27 as the Budweiser 150 Freedom Nationals brings two nights of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing action to the high-banked Arizona oval. Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks will headline the unique two-day format, with each division racing for a $1,500 top prize in Saturday night’s championship features. The Freedom Nationals will also serve as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, with the Modified winner earning eligibility to try and qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational held during the 2026 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Partain Sweeps Both Nights at Show Low in Stock Cars

(July 26, 2025) — Bo Partain proved untouchable in Sunoco IMCA Stock Car competition at Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway, driving from ninth both nights to sweep the weekend and raise his win tally to five on the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, with four coming at the Arizona 1/4-mile oval. On Friday, he muscled past Grady Clements on lap six and never looked back. Newcomer Sean Stacy impressed in his first Stock Car start by finishing second, while Speedy Madrid rounded out the top three. Saturday night’s race saw a similar script. Rain Washes Out Williston Features; Wednesday’s Round Four Moved to Mandan

(July 7, 2026) — Rain disrupted the third round of the 2026 Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric on Tuesday night at Williston Basin Speedway and has forced a schedule change for the remainder of the week. Tuesday’s program at Williston Basin Speedway completed all heat races and B Mains before heavy rain arrived just prior to the start of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature, preventing the remainder of the evening’s racing program from being completed. Continued rainfall and saturated grounds have forced the fourth round of the Dakota Classic Modified Tour, originally scheduled for Southwest Speedway in Dickinson, to be moved to Dacotah Speedway in Mandan on Wednesday, July 8. Dacotah Speedway will also host the previously scheduled fifth round of the tour on Thursday, July 9, giving fans two consecutive nights of Dakota Classic Tour action at the 3/8-mile Mandan oval. Clemens Sweeps Fastest in the Falls at Electric City

(July 4, 2026) — The fifth annual Fastest in the Falls brought two nights of Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified racing to Electric City Speedway on July 3 and 4, drawing local favorites and drivers from across Montana and beyond. With a $2,100 payout to the winner each night, there was plenty on the line, but the holiday weekend belonged to Belgrade’s Ty Clemens. Clemens started second each night and won both 30-lap features, completing a clean sweep of the weekend and collecting the added winner’s money both nights. On the track Friday, Clemens started second and drove to the win, with Joey Price finishing second and Three Forks driver Jordan Tocci charging from sixth to third. Kolby Hannah finished fourth, and Travis Shumate rounded out the top five. Looft Has Successful Independence Day at Arlington

(July 4, 2026) — Matthew Looft enjoyed a successful Independence Day at Arlington Raceway, charging from 12th to win the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature before rallying from fourth to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified main event. The Swea City, Iowa, driver earned his second EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season in the Stock Cars and later added his second Razor Chassis North Central Region triumph of 2026 in the Modifieds. All four of those wins have come at Arlington Raceway. Josh Larsen paced the opening laps of the Stock Car feature with A.J. Zimmerman in tow. As Larsen and Zimmerman battled up front, Dan Mackenthun and Looft steadily worked the bottom groove from mid-pack. Mackenthun grabbed the lead on lap 11, but three laps later Looft completed his charge from 12th to the front and never looked back.
