Sprint win by Reed highlights night of firsts at Cotton Bowl

PAIGE, Texas (June 13) – On a night of firsts at Cotton Bowl Speedway, Willy Reed won his first Southern United Sprints feature in his first visit to the Paige speedplant. And his mother Roxanne got to watch the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car excitement unfold from the grandstand. “This was my first win in a Sprint Car. My mother had never seen me race before in the class and I didn’t even know she was there,” said Reed. “I was pretty excited about it. She was pretty excited, too.” Reed made a couple RaceSaver starts last season and ran third in the series opener last week at Cleveland. IMCA Modifieds vie for $1,100 top check at Cotton Bowl

PAIGE, Texas – IMCA Modifieds run for $1,100 to win and a 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth this Saturday at Cotton Bowl Speedway. The July 27 program at Paige also features Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods in a $1,000 to win feature and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, E3 Spark Plugs Texas State and track points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Pessek Ends Three-Year Stock Car Drought at Arlington

(Aug. 29, 2026) — Three- and four-wide racing, four different leaders and a first trip to victory lane in three years made the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature the highlight of Saturday night’s program at Arlington Raceway. Jed Trebelhorn led the field early before getting too high in turns three and four and slipping off the racing surface. Dave Moriarty inherited the lead, but Ryan Bjerkeset and Brent Uecker quickly joined the fight. For eight laps, Moriarty, Bjerkeset, and Uecker raced side-by-side and at times just inches apart. A caution eventually flew when Bjerkeset went off the track after spending several laps in second and headed to the pits. The restart only intensified the battle. Uecker and Moriarty were joined by Tim Pessek, while Trent Loverude, Dan Eckblad, Matt Speckman, and Dan Mackenthun were all within striking distance. Clemens Claims Modified Championship as Leach and LaMere Split Finale Wins

(Aug. 30, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified season at Electric City Speedway ended with two different feature winners, a hard-charging champion and plenty of movement through the field during Racers Appreciation Weekend. Tyler Leach drove from ninth to win Saturday night’s 20-lap feature. Braidyn LaMere followed with a victory in Sunday’s season-ending main event, while Ty Clemens wrapped up the 2026 track championship. It was a fitting end to a season that delivered speed, close competition and no shortage of action. Clemens finished the year 41 points ahead of runner-up Joey Price. His championship season included seven victories, 10 top-five finishes and a top-10 result in all 12 features. Kolby Hannah placed third in the final standings, followed by Cory Craver and Kaycie Kynett. Starting ninth in the 18-car field, Leach worked his way forward and claimed the feature win. Ryland Sweeps Antioch SportMod and Stock Car Features and Championships

(Aug. 29, 2026) — Fred Ryland of Brentwood had a big night at Antioch Speedway as he won both the 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod and Sunoco IMCA Stock Car features. In each division, it was his fifth win of the season and capped championship efforts for him in both classes. In the SportMod race, championship hopeful Danny Wagner of Bay Point had earlier won the eight-lap heat race. With a front-row start next to Ryland, Wagner bolted into the lead at the start as Trevor Clymens of Brentwood settled into third. Wagner seemed to have the race well in hand when he caught a slower car on lap 14. A lap later, Wagner and the slower car made contact in turn two, allowing Ryland to make a move underneath both to grab the lead. Ryland led the rest of the way for his fifth SportMod victory of the season, with all five coming at Antioch.
