$250 Sunoco bonus awaits IMCA Late Model winner at 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – The payday got even better for the winner of Saturday’s main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at 34 Raceway. The second $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the May 30 Late Model winner at 34. Sunoco bonuses will be presented at Late Model sanctioned tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the 2020 racing season. Jeff Aikey was the winner at Independence Motor Speedway last Saturday night. IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track. While the grandstand will be closed, fans will have the opportunity to watch the night’s racing action by logging on to IMCA.tv or affiliate DoneRight.tv. The live streaming service will carry a one-time charge and will not require a membership to watch from the comfort of your living room. Hot laps are scheduled to take to the track at 6:15 p.m. with racing to follow.

Late Model, Stock Car pre-registration encouraged for 34 Raceway event

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Two days remain before the IMCA Sunoco Late Model and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car openers at 34 Raceway and officials are encouraging racers to get pre-registered now at https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/2697/registrations/. Pre-registration is $200 per car and that includes eight pit passes per registrant. Upon arrival to the track drivers will receive a personalized envelope with eight wristbands inside. Driver and crew are asked to arrive together if possible. Drivers are also asked to print and sign the pit release in advance and bring it with them. Wet weather wins at West Burlington, 500th Deery event moves to Davenport

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Sept. 27) – Inclement weather was again the winner at 34 Raceway. The Deery Brothers Summer Series event scheduled tonight (Friday) in West Burlington has been canceled because of rain and a less than promising forecast for later in the day. The 500th event in series history and finale for the 33rd annual tour for IMCA Late Models now moves to Davenport Speedway to headline the Iowa Governor’s Cup program on Saturday, Sept. 28. Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 2 p.m. Hot laps are at 4 p.m. with racing to follow. WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Rain was the winner on Saturday and as a result 34 Raceway will host the 500th Deery Brothers Summer Series event this Friday, Sept. 27. The IMCA Late Model tour feature at West Burlington pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $35. 34 Raceway bringing back IMCA Late Models

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Fans will welcome a very familiar division back to Saturday programs at 34 Raceway this season. IMCA Late Models return to the 3/8-mile dirt oval at West Burlington, where the division had last run weekly in 2012. “We wanted to bring Late Models back. We had done our research and when IMCA decided to go with the crate engine option it was a very good step in the right direction,” promoter Brad Stevens said. “The division fits with our budget and we will alternate weeks with Lee County Speedway.” Sanctioned Late Models had run weekly at 34 from 1987-1992 and 1997-2012. Dolan leads all 50 laps of 50th Deery event at 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (July 3) – It had been a few years since his last trip to West Burlington, so Ryan Dolan relied on Mapquest to get to town. Once he got to 34 Raceway and got some early evening brake issues figured out, he didn’t need any help getting around the track. Dolan led all 50 laps of the Tuesday night Deery Brothers Summer Series main event at 34. WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – 34 Raceway celebrates the Big 5-0, then gets an early start at celebrating Independence Day next Tuesday. The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes its 50th visit to West Burlington on July 3. Touring IMCA Late Models chase a top check of $2,000 with a minimum of $300 paid to start the main event. 34 Raceway was the site of the first-ever IMCA Late Model tour event, won by hometown driver Jay Johnson on April 11, 1987. The series has since traveled to West Burlington more often than any other track in its 31-plus years, with the single event record of 71 entries set there in 2006. New promoter finds ‘hidden gem’ in 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa –Bradley Stevens will be in charge of weekly programs at a track he likens to “a hidden gem.” Stevens has purchased 34 Raceway from Jeff and Amy Laue. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and newly-sanctioned Mach-1 Sport Compacts run Saturday nights at the Southeast Iowa speedplant. The IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season begins April 7 and continues through Sept. 29 at the 3/8-mile dirt oval. “This track ranks right up there with the best tracks in the Midwest.
