IMCA drivers in five divisions chase Performance Distributors prizes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 18) – Drivers in five IMCA divisions are in the running for contingencies from Performance Dis­tributors again this season. Product awards and product certificates go to eligible competitors in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact divisions. Top eligible drivers in each Stock Car and Hobby Stock region, and in national standings for the Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods all receive DUI distribu­tors. Second-place drivers each get $100 product certificates, with $75 for third, $50 for fourth and $25 for fifth. Both the Sport Compact national champion and national rookie of the year receive Dyna-Batt batteries. Se­cond through fifth place finishers in national standings for the 4-cylinder class all get $50 product certificates. BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 18) – NASCAR fan favorite Ken Schrader joins the headline field on Thursday, opening night of the Mid-America Modified Championship special at Batesville Motor Speedway. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20-22 IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified features all pay $1,500 to win, a minimum of $200 to start and are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly Racing Na­tional, Jet Racing Cen­tral Region and All­star Performance State points will be awarded each night. Sweet steering box gains official IMCA designation

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (March 14) – Sweet Manufacturing marks a pair of milestones as a marketing partner with IMCA in 2014. The Kalamazoo, Mich., company has been designated as manufacturer of the “Official steering box of IMCA” in its fifth season of sponsorship. Sweet will award steering boxes to champions in each of the five regions for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds. CAMARILLO, Calif. (March 16) – Wilwood Engineering shares the wealth again this season to top five finishers in as many IMCA divisions. Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center backs IMCA Southern SportMods

LUBBOCK, Texas (March 12) – The 2014 season will be the second for Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center as title sponsor of IMCA’s Southern SportMod division. The Lubbock, Texas, distributor is one of the largest GM parts retailers and Chevrolet engine dealers in the United States and provides a portion of the $9,500 point fund to be paid to top 15 drivers in na­tional standings for the division. Chadwick up to challenge in Nor-Cal opener at Silver Dollar

CHICO, Calif. (March 7-8) – After a disappointing 2013 season, Kellen Chadwick picked the perfect night and the perfect track to launch a successful 2014 campaign. Chadwick held off Ryan McDaniel and then Troy Foulger in winning the Saturday night IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature at Silver Dollar Speedway.
