OSKALOOSA, Iowa – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds will race for a top prize of $1,000 and a spot on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational at each of four Frostbuster specials April 1-4.
Ken Schrader joins the Modified entrants beginning with opening night on Wednesday, April 1 at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. Benton County Speedway at Vinton hosts the Thursday, April 2 show. The Friday, April 3 Frostbuster is at Marshalltown Speedway and Boone Speedway hosts the Saturday, April 4 finale.
The popular NASCAR driver last followed the Frostbusters in 2012, winning once and finishing no worse than sixth in five feature events.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars also run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 each night.
Top five drivers in each division will earn shares of $1,000 point funds and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded at all four shows.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. at Oskaloosa. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. The gates open at Vinton at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
