Foulger defends home turf with Summer Nationals win at Antioch

ANTIOCH, Calif. (June 27) – When Bobby Hogge IV comes to town, the intensity of competition goes up a notch at Antioch Speedway. Add North Carolina-based NASCAR star Kenny Wallace, a consummate dirt track driver, and the bar is raised even higher. Four-time track champion Troy Foulger rose to the occasion, showing the visitors the fast way to the finish line as he won the Antioch Speedway Summer Nationals main event on Saturday night. Saathoff soars at Eagle

(June 26) – Sanctioned career win number 342 for Johnny Saathoff came at Eagle Raceway Saturday night. “This was my first feature win of the year and I’m so glad that it came here at Eagle Raceway, my home track,” Saathoff said after the Kaplan University IMCA Modified headliner. “I was getting nervous the last five laps because I almost lost it. Thanks to (promoter) Roger (Hadan) the track is getting better, and we’re finally getting the car set to where the track is. We’ll keep coming back and trying to win.” Defending champion Clint Benson earned his first RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car checkers of 2015 at Eagle. Adam Armstrong won his third straight Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock main event. OSKALOOSA, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $2,000 to win at Southern Iowa Speedway’s 20th annual Budweiser Great American Stock Car Shootout on Wednesday and Thursday, July 1 and 2. The winner also becomes eligible to qualify for the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September. The runner-up earns $1,000 and a minimum of $250 will be paid to start the 24-car feature. Tow money is $150. ALTA, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start at Buena Vista Raceway’s Wednesday, July 1 Kyle Suter Memorial. Rogers, Money are repeat winners at RPM

Rogers became the first repeat winner in the Advantage Glass Plus IMCA Stock Car division at Hays this year. Rogers took the lead on lap seven from Arnold Williams. A caution on lap 19 set up a green, white, checkered finish, giving the field a shot at Rogers, but Rogers, the winner the night before at Thomas County Speedway in Colby, was up to the challenge. Hunt ends in victory lane at Crystal

CRYSTAL, Mich. (June 27) – Mitchell Hunt earned All-Star Performance IMCA Modified honors Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway. Hunt caught Cliff Denman for second and John Row for the lead. The feature got off to an inauspicious start when point man Travis Fisher got turned around going into turn one on the opening lap and collected Toby Steele, who had nowhere to go.

Bishofberger takes career first IMCA Modified checkers

By Dave Panske OSHKOSH, Wis. (June 26) – Zeke Bishofberger became a first-time Automotive Supply Company IMCA Modified winner Friday at Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway. Following a lap five caution, Bishofberger took over the lead and started to pull away. Mike Mueller was next to move up and took over second on lap seven with Tim Robbins and Dan Roedl making up the rest of the top four. They pulled away until a final caution bunched the field on lap 17. Bishofberger controlled the lead over the final three circuits with Mueller making a charge on the outside over the final lap to fall just short and finished second. Roedl was third.
