
CSP returns to action this Saturday
By Lonnie Wheatley PEORIA, Ariz. – The battles continue at Canyon Speedway Park on Saturday night, April 2 with Arizona Differential IMCA Modifieds headlining a full card of racing action atop the 1/3-mile clay oval. Along with the IMCA Modifieds, Saturday’s tilt that goes green at 7 p.m. will also feature the Allscapes IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars vs. SCRA Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vs. Renegades. The CSP points race for the IMCA Modifieds is a tight one in the early going with only eight points separating the top five thus far. Zack Madrid holds a scant three-point edge over Mike Strobl going into Saturday’s action with Bubba Stafford, Steve Stultz and Guy Norton among the early top five. Stafford topped the most recent IMCA Modified outing at CSP on March 12, beating Joey Moriarty, Kenny Wallace, Madrid and Norton to the stripe.
