
Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour opens on Memorial Day at Benton County Speedway
VINTON, Iowa – The home track of the IMCA Modified division hosts opening night for the Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start their Monday, May 29 main event at Benton County Speedway. The Memorial Day program is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and marks the sixth time in the tour’s eight-year history that the opening night show was held in Vinton, site of the first-ever IMCA Modified event in 1979. New tour title sponsor Arnold Motor Supply provides a portion of $5,650 point funds to be paid each of the next three seasons. The champion takes home $1,000 along with a Traeger Lil’ Tex Elite Pellet Grill, valued at $700, courtesy of the Spencer-based auto parts supplier.
