IMCA Modifieds chase $2,000 top check at Illinois’ Sycamore Speedway

MAPLE PARK, Ill. – An Illinois speedplant celebrating its 54th season welcomes IMCA Modifieds for a $2,000 to win main event during the Memorial Weekend.

Sycamore Speedway at Maple Park hosts what is believed to be the first-ever appearance by the division, on the half-mile clay oval on Saturday, May 27.

A minimum of $150 will be paid to start the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot-qualifying event. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.

There is no entry fee. Pit passes are $30.

Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-11 and free for four and under.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. The drivers’ meeting also starts at 6 p.m. and racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps.
